How We Rank

Picking “the best” sounds simple, until you actually try to do it fairly.

At Best Pages, every ranking comes from hands-on research, public data, and a final human judgment call. No brand pays to be here, and nothing makes a list on popularity alone. Here’s exactly how it works.

Who’s behind this

Best Pages is run by a small editorial team based in Virginia. Cem Jack leads our reviews, drawing on 15+ years in the B2B space.

What we actually check

We don’t rank on vibes. Every company is measured against the same signals, and we weight them by what matters most in that specific category.

Signal we verify Where it comes from
Customer ratings & review volume Google, Trustpilot, industry platforms
Business reputation Better Business Bureau (BBB) profile & complaint history
Licensing & registration State licensing boards and official registries
Time in business Public records and company filings
Pricing transparency The company’s own published terms
Customer sentiment Patterns across recent, verified reviews

When the data conflicts, we dig in before ranking anyone. A glowing score sitting next to a stack of unresolved complaints won’t make the cut.

Where AI fits (and where it doesn’t)

We use AI as a research tool. Its main job is reading through large volumes of customer reviews and surfacing patterns that would take a person days to find by hand.

What it never does is make the final call. Every score, every position on a list, and every published recommendation is checked and approved by a human editor before it goes live. AI helps us read faster, but it doesn’t decide who ranks where.

You deserve to know that, so we’re saying it openly.

No pay-to-play. Ever.

Here’s the one line we won’t cross: our rankings are not for sale.

No company can buy a spot, push down a competitor, or pay to look better. Not advertisers, not sponsors, not affiliate partners. If a page ever includes sponsored or affiliate content, it will be labeled clearly at the top and kept separate from the editorial ranking.

How we keep lists current

Markets change, and a ranking that was right last year can be wrong today. We revisit our lists on a regular schedule, re-check the data behind them, and move positions when the evidence shifts. New companies get added once they’ve earned it.

Spot an outdated entry, a factual error, or a business that’s changed for better or worse? Tell us. We’ll verify it and correct the record.

Our standard

Independent research, transparent methods, and recommendations you can act on with confidence. That’s the entire reason Best Pages exists, and we hold every list to it.
